Evidently our kids didn't get the "it's the weekend" memo

They both woke up at 5am Saturday and Sunday morning. Thankfully we all crashed about 8am Saturday and I wised up on Sunday and was able to get both kids back to bed by 6am this morning, after feeding both of them. Having a toddler who refuses to eat at mealtimes (especially dinner) is fine by me so long as he's not waking up super early demanding cereal and his water bottle. Oy. At least I have happy kids? 

Also of note, mr. D and I had a lovely, toddler less dinner on Saturday. Gotta love family who live close by. We had some of the most ridiculous delicious sushi I have ever had. Behold the "Wellesley" and the "Sox":

Weekend recap

Remaking mr. D's birthday cake (this time with the proper ratio of Reese's to everything else), attending a beautiful baptism, catching up on the Friend and with some friends, and the view from here. I felt super productive Friday since we had a lot going on this weekend and as a result I'm exhausted today.

I'm Counting my blessings it's already naptime. I only have six more weeks to catch up on all the sleep I missed while sick, so I'm on a bit of a tight schedule. Maybe my energy will return when I stop eating coco puffs for lunch?
