the 72 hours we were on the market were short lived and full of wonderful (and crazy) moments

Last Sunday was a doozy... we had a regional stake conference which meant that instead of babywrangling for an hour and then sending them off to nursery or primary for two, we had two solid hours of baby-wrangling. It was probably worse than you thought it was.  And definitely the worst ALL four of our kids have ever behaved. Nowhere left to go but up right? (I thought to myself before finding out a few hours later that our buyer dropped out.. ha!)
and was had dino jammies later that evening so that always makes everything better
and of course we got to hang out with family all evening while we ate dinner and visited and DK got his mission call to Las Vegas Nevada! He leaves on little d's birthday and we are so excited for him!
next best thing to hanging out with cousins (that we as of yet do not have) is hanging out with second cousins!!! It has been so fun to see these ladies and those boys grow closer each time they hang out together.
I got to see Guardians of the Galaxy with my mom and sister earlier this week which was awesome and we had to sneak a Wonder Woman pic for little a, since she is loving watching all the previews for the new movie!
I managed to find my wedding stuff in the back of my parent's crawlspace... here's hoping she will want to wear my veil for her wedding in 20 some years so we get more use out of it!
"Mom take a picture of me with this pink soap!" (she always takes off her tunic/dress when she goes to the bathroom so she doesn't get them dirty on accident) and we snapped a rare pic of her with Isabella Lightning, my grandma's cat (who has slowly warmed up to the kids over the last 3 years).
and of course we got lots of Anna time this week, and will get more next week when we come visit in Indy for a day trip!
and during one of our last showings, we hung out with cristin and the girls and kevin decided to scale the fence and try a playdate with hazel! He is crazy but hazel let him act like he owns the yard!
and on the day of our last showing (weds!) a few hours before we finally got back into (a new) contract we treated the kids to Wendy's, thankfully something we have not had to do too often because we could always have some real food at my parents house!
Lo trying his first JBC was my favorite part!
and then we came home and felt a rush of relief that our home was back in contract and I tried to make dinner... and the babies figured out how to open the childproof cabinets!!! NOOOO. Lo fell out of the crib earlier this week and Lan climbed out of the pack n play at my parents house, and then pile on top of that that the boys have figured out how to open doorknobs, put things into outlets and reach up to counters to grab anything they can reach on their tippy toes. Drew has been swamped at work, and obviously our hands are pretty full here on the home front. It is just a crazy time all around.

when the babies get into my lisense and can't take it off: (good thing it's nontoxic)
So needless to say, a night out with Kathryn at Cheesecake was an enormous relief from all the craziness of the last few days. Until she gave me a going away present and left me in a pile of giant crocodile tears. So yes, even though we have been talking about this move for well over 7 months, today was the first day it felt real.  And tonight was the first time it really hit me how hard this was going to be, not just on me but on the kids as well.
"the heart of it all and all of my heart" ...true words!! She joked that the last two times we said goodbye (when I left for college and then when I left for drew's first Dealersocket move to MA) I ended up boomeranging back here within 2-3 years so... we will see  :) It is definitely easier to say "see you later" instead of saying goodbye so that's what I will hopefully communicate to the kids.
I never regret loving as hard as I do, except for the moments when I have to say goodbye. And we have had so many moves at this point you would think I would be an expert at this by now, but I am a far cry from that. 11 moves in 11 years, and yet this one feels like I will need to brace myself the most.
