happiest 19th birthday to my DK!
dating back to the earliest pics I have of little d and his uncle DK from the blog (circa 2010/11)
and this one from his sweet 16: little a with NO hair and DK with ALL THE HAIR!which by his 17th birthday he tamed a bit...
and lest we forget his 18th birthday last year!
we are definitely bummed to not get to spend the actual day of his birthday with him but we had a couple really good days with him! And look how handsome his hair looks now! We will miss him for #20 but there is a chance he could be home in time to celebrate his 21st with us so I will hold onto that hope! Here's to the best uncle on the Kron side! We love you DK!

the last week or so
have I mentioned my inlaws came to town after we got back from Montana? They were our first real houseguests and are always wonderful to have...we bake, go for bike rides, and do a lot of stuff we wouldn't do otherwise because we have two more grown ups!
(I missed being with these two when Anna came to visit one last time with DK!) because, you know, motherhood:hopefully the last of the target trips for the home! Obviously we will still come back but hopefully only spend double and not triple digits! It feels good to be so settled in (and be at a Target with so many FAVORITE carts!)
We tried "prek" once, twice now. Little a loves it, little d tolerates it, and the twins... just figure out their own thing while we do that.
landscaping! (only one of three sides we have left but its something!)
I figured out how to do eggs in the cast iron without it sticking!! winner winner eggy dinner.
DK had his going away party
We had cousins over (and loads of hours with that water table! worth every penny!))
this happened:
the twins are getting cuter by the day... how is that even possible?!
Drew had 2 sous chefs last Sunday... very cute!
as we had a friend from Drew's mission over... I love how Drew manages to make friends with awesome wives and super fun kids!
DK got set apart as a missionary the night before he came out here to Utah
the last of our generation with the first of the next one!! We sure do miss cousin Benjamonkey!
I've been trying to step up my game beyond waffles or cereal...little A continues to get too cute for her own good
we made marbled cakes for DK's birthday dinner that we celebrated Tuesday night while he was still here!
and the night before he left, Drew gave hin an Ironing 101 class...
two years till I see that sweet face in person! I will miss him so much but Vegas is lucky to have him!
we made it to our first play cafe... too pricy to probably go back again but the kids had a blast for two hours! (when in public: matchy matchy!! of course little d complained that he matched the playground too!)
My third time doing Salad swap...that means we have been doing it for about 6 weeks! Crazy! This recipe was really good once you omit those nasty radishes (Clean Simple Eats Spring Edition)
My kids had popsicles for only like the second time ever (except for little d). They all fail fabulously at eating them! Famous quote from little a as she watches the popsicle melt: I'M WAITING FOR ALL THE DRIPS TO COME OFF BEFORE I EAT IT)
I had arguably my favorite date night ever with these ladies. TopGolf and dinner
love love love these people. We are the only ones not related but they've graciously adopted us into the fold. Triple dates forever!
Date made possible because Erika offered to watch my kids (Because she's trying to get Sainthood status, obviously and one night with my kids should earn that for her!)
from two to six kids and she handled it like a pro! I am so grateful for her and my kids did not want to leave!
So while we haven't been too busy on a daily basis, when I look over our weeks they are definitely filled with lots of good things (And I need to manage my time better so I can keep up with them again!)
