I will never be the perfect summer mommy, but at least the big kids allow for me to make a lot of mistakes!

Two naps in the last two days... When you can't wear them out, boring them (don't do anything to make any noise while the babies are sleeping!!!) to nap works a bit easier ;)

Love my sweet boy, who out of nowhere tonight announced, "mom you look beautiful today." I looked in the mirror at my ponytail and overall disheveled look at the end of a long day. When I asked him what he meant by that he replied, "I like when your hair is like that so I can see your face." Love that boy. So so many do-overs on my part the last few days but at least he will never think his mom is perfect! Little d is such good kid and in the middle of him driving me nuts when I was trying to get stuff done this afternoon, We had a really good heart to heart and I was overcome with how much I love him. I'm slowly starting to come to more peace about not every moment being perfect but instead holding onto those perfect few moments and treasuring those as long as I can!!

"Mommy my hair is so long. It's bigger than yours now!" Ha! She wishes. Unfortunately how cute she gets is correlated with how little she listens and how much she feels she can get away with by doing whatever she wants to do.

She's certainly working on it!! What a little gorgeous sassy pants.

And speaking of our little miss, we bought her her FIRST car seat today!!! Her infant carrier was little D's hand me down, her car seat up until today was little D's convertible seat, and since she's outgrown it I let her pick out her own car seat... She insisted on a red one (apparently it's her favorite color of the moment!) and hopefully she likes it since she will be using it the next 10 years or until she hits 4'9"!

I am not ashamed to say I do everything in my power to wear my kids out in summer so I can easily nap them. Unfortunately I have yet to figure out how do accomplish this without completely wearing myself out as well.

Did I mention how gorgeous the weather was tonight??? Props to my mom for watching the (sick) babies tonight so I could get some big kid time. And time with my dad and sister of course!
