second half of sisters weekend 2018

Saturday (nearly all day!) at the Indy MOA

One of the only artworks I remembered being here from my modern art history books
Newfields hike in the art museum property! so pretty

chilean artist who made this amazing outdoor installation^^^
 and this ^^^^
of course we had to get a few pics with the hundreds of colored animals scattered around the museum

Then it was off to a baseball game.... ice cream for dinner!
 Superhero night!

we got rain but it was worth it for that rainbow!
 post rain haze
bunny power! (chepi in a hand me down outfit from chocolate bunny)
anna was awesome and made sure we went to the gym, including a session with her PT. This was one of my cycling sessions solo and I couldn't believe how sweaty I got! humidity!!!
speaking of, the last day (sunday we literally just did church and food, haha) on Monday we showered and got packed up to ...get super sweaty on the boats!

then our last meal in Indy was $5 burger specials with sweet potato fries! yum
we had some time to kill so we opted for window shopping and dessert
by window shopping I mean only until we made it to a nonprofit bookstore and then I got all the souvenirs for the kiddos! Can't wait to come back to visit next year!

Happy 26th, Baby Sis!!

I always told people that I didn't look anything like my siblings.. but the older we get the more I look like Sarah!! The kids have even occasionally gotten us mixed up in pictures (and in person!). Most years that we spend our birthday week apart it makes me really sad but this year I don't mind as much because I GET TO SPEND IT WITH HER NEXT YEAR!!!!!
(hopefully, assuming she finds a job post-graduation in Utah!)
I still remember the day she was born (how is that even possible?!). I remember my dad telling us we got (another) sister, him allowing me to get dressed. I picked out my favorite flowery blue dress, accessorizing with my favorite pair of white (after labor day even!!) church shoes and long pearl necklace. I remember seeing her little body wrapped in those little pink and blue blankets and feeling like, this is my chance to be a little mama. I wrangled my crazy permed hair to perfection (probably teasing it with my afro-pic, which was the only hairbrush I owned during that perming phase!). I loved her SO much (and it was easier to, since it would be a few years till I realized how insanely adorable was or she would be able to take my clothes/toys/hair scrunchies).

Having her around for 2/3 of the year she got home from her mission (2015... the year I had the twins!!!!), then for all of this past summer before and after she got bunion surgery. My kids all have such a unique connection with their Aunties and Uncles (admittedly the result of zero niece/nephew/children competition, but hey, we will take it as long as we can!!!) and Sarah is no exception.
not to mention she's an amazing sibling (someone's gotta be the one to remember to take a selfie!) ;)

Love you, lovely lady!!! Hope you had the very best of days!!! 26 is the new 16 ;) (but admittedly, lends itself to making better choices!). HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (you are nothing!! mwahaha)
